About Veerangna-Cop
Ummeed NGO in Lucknow proudly supports the Veerangna-Cop initiative, a groundbreaking program designed to empower economically weaker women by involving them in urban traffic management. This initiative is not only about enhancing traffic operations but also about cultivating a sense of responsibility and confidence among women and girls in our community.
Objectives
The primary objectives of the Veerangna-Cop program are:
- Empowerment Through Involvement: Encourage the participation of women in controlling urban traffic, which traditionally has been a male-dominated field.
- Traffic Awareness: Educate the community on the importance of traffic awareness and safety through the active involvement of women.
- Skill Development: Provide comprehensive training in traffic operations, equipping women with the skills necessary for effective traffic management.
- Economic Empowerment: Offer economic opportunities to women by enabling them to contribute to and manage urban traffic, thereby providing them with a sustainable livelihood.
Training and Collaboration
With our program, women and girls receive specialized training in traffic operations. This training is conducted in collaboration with the local traffic police, ensuring that participants gain practical experience and a deep understanding of traffic management protocols.
Impact on the Community
The Veerangna-Cop initiative is more than just a traffic management program; it is a movement towards inclusive community development. By integrating women into urban traffic operations, we not only improve traffic situations but also break barriers and stereotypes, fostering a more inclusive society.
